Dennis and Darlene Sellers began selling boats from their marina location on the Black Warrior River in 2003. Initially Hide-A-Way Harbor offered only top quality products such as the durable SeaArk line of aluminum boats and sturdy Crest pontoon boats. After considerable brand comparison, and even more considerable soul searching, they selected Starcraft as the fiberglass pleasure boat brand to add to their inventory.

In February, 2008 the Hide-A-Way Harbor Showroom on Skyland Blvd. opened for business; the largest indoor showroom in West Alabama! Despite the recession, sales were brisk and it quickly became time again to expand the horizons.

Alabama is bass country. There is no doubt! Although several options were available, the names Bass Cat and Phoenix stood out. Bass Cat met the Seller’s quality standards and Phoenix was an impressive up-and-coming brand. Welcome aboard!
